Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s honeymoon has not started off well.
Well, it sort of has in that the couple is taking many more flights than they expected to get to their lovely destination in South America.
In fact, their itinerary has been so skewed that they will be visiting four nations in 24 hours.
On Monday, the Candy Kittens creator, 34, turned to social media to explain that he and another Made in Chelsea actress, Sophie, 29, had gotten a bit off track on their journey to post-wedding happiness.
Last month, the couple married at a register office in Chelsea before jetting out to their second wedding, which was a large Spanish bash with all of their closest friends and family.
After an excitable post snapping Sophie in a car and writing, ‘And we’re off on honeymoon!!!!,’ things soon took a turn for the worse as not long after, Jamie explained: ‘This is WILD… We’re flying on our honeymoon to South America, connecting flight in Amsterdam.
‘KLM are delayed but we still have time to make our flight. Without warning, they take us off the connecting flight…’
He continued: ‘So now we have to fly back to London, then fly to Colombia, then fly to Panama and then fly to our honeymoon destination.’
Clearly pretty unhappy with his situation, he said, ‘This is a TOTAL F**K UP,’ before admitting he reckons they’re being ‘pranked’.
He also informed his one million Instagram followers that he and Sophie were on different flights to Bogota and that their luggage was still in Amsterdam.
The newlyweds, who co-hosted a popular podcast on their wedding preparations, have now provided another update.
‘Little update for anyone who cares,’ Jamie began just an hour ago.
‘We have arrived in Bogota in Columbia. It’s 3.15am, we’re now going to have to change flights,’ he continued, before Sophie appeared in the background.
‘Oh here she is,’ he said, looking both exasperated and amused at the less-than-ideal situation.
The TV and podcast personality then detailed how they had to change aircraft, go to Panama, and then change yet again before arriving at their final destination.
‘We don’t even know if our luggage is with us because we think it’s still in Amsterdam,’ he added.
Ouch.
But Jamie appeared to be in good spirits about the whole thing, as he joked, ‘The journey continues, isn’t that right honey?’
Before the camera cut, Sophie looked to agree with her husband.
We hope to see the couple in paradise shortly…
