Joe Sugg’s Christmas tree takes thriftiness to a whole new level.
The YouTube celebrity, 32, lives with his fiancée, Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell, 34, and has claimed that he got their Christmas tree before anybody else.
While most of us were enjoying our summer vacations, Joe started planning forward in June. Way ahead of the game.
‘I bought my Christmas tree back in June because I’m that sort of person and because it’s so much cheaper to buy a Christmas tree then,’ he told Digital Spy.
‘I just wanted to get the fake one with the lights already in it, just for ease, get it out the loft – job’s a good’en.’
To be fair, Dianne did publish a picture of that tree earlier this month, and it is a ‘good’en. Congratulations, Joe.
Joe and Dianne will not be spending Christmas Day at home, instead travelling to Australia to visit Dianne’s father, who is battling cancer.
While she was at home, the dancer held his hand and drove him to treatments.
Dianne recently released a video of herself and her father Mark in the hospital, joining arms and keeping as positive as they could under difficult circumstances.
She captioned the post: ‘Round 3. Proud of you dad. Always with a positive mind frame and smile on your face.’
The pair left for Australia practically immediately after Dianne competed against Bobby Brazier in the Strictly final.
Despite being hugely popular with fans, they finally lost out to Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.
