After Romesh Ranganathan posted his clothing blunder on The Jonathan Ross Show on Instagram, people quipped that they ‘can’t unsee’ it.
The 45-year-old comic joins on the talk show’s huge festive lineup, which will air on Christmas Eve, with Hamilton actor Ariana DeBose and popstar Boy George.
However, the A League of Their Own host said on Instagram that he experienced a wardrobe malfunction that left him feeling like “Spiderman struggling to hold that ship together.”
Romesh acknowledged that he neglected to undo the button on his suit jacket, and he shared a close-up photo of his blazer, which seemed to be a touch snug when secured.
The Takeshi’s Castle commentator captioned the posted: ‘I’m on Jonathan Ross tomorrow night on @itv at 10.15pm I think.
‘It’s a great line up but the star of the show was the button I forgot to undo that spent the night struggling like Spiderman trying to hold that ship together.’
But Romesh’s 978K followers disagreed with his self-deprecating comments about the jacket, with Instagram user Cdmq1981 commenting: ‘Romesh where is that suit from? You look fantastic.’
Steve Adams, however, remarked he didn’t even notice the jacket but now couldn’t ‘unsee it’, writing: ‘Didn’t even see it mate. Now I can’t unsee it 🤷🏻♂️.’
Nico, meanwhile, remarked: ‘Love you Rom can’t wait to watch 🙌.’
‘You look amazing in your blue suit. My favourite guest,’ Regina MacLean added.
On The Jonathan Ross Show, Romesh speaks about his recent weight loss and reveals he has lost three stone, but adds ‘it doesn’t matter in an age of body positivity.’
Speaking about his fitness and lifestyle transformation, he says: ‘I have lost a lot of weight, but obviously it doesn’t matter. We’re in an age of body positivity and rightly so. And I feel like, you shouldn’t be celebrated more because you lost weight.
He jokes: ‘I went round to see my mum after I lost weight… I was thinking, “Where have all my body issues come from?” I knocked on the door, she answered and she looked at me and she went, “Oh my god, thank you lord, finally he looks how I want him to look.” I just felt like, you might be part of the problem.’
Of how much weight he has lost he says: ‘Three stone, something like that. It was just diet and exercise.’
