Last week, shock-jock Julia Fox offered followers a tour of her mice-infested New York flat, which astonished many due to its very unremarkable look.
However, several viewers were sceptical, claiming the Uncut Gems actress has a $30 million net worth despite Julia’s modesty in the video.
Now 32 years old, Julia has dispelled rumours that she is worth tens of millions of dollars, citing her concern that Valentino, her young son, would ‘grow up and be a p***k’ as the reason she did not upgrade.
Celebrating her birthday in the Bahamas, Julia took to TikTok to tell her 1.7 million fans that she doesn’t understand the “freaking out” over her tour and that she is not worth $30 million.
‘I really wasn’t expecting my apartment tour to go so viral, people are really flipping out about it,’ the mum-of-one told the camera.
It’s not even superficially interesting. Interestingly enough, I brought my newborn baby home to this very apartment. To that end, we may safely assume that he now calls this place “home.”

She added: ‘I’m not worth 30 million dollars, not even close. I don’t need 30 million dollars; what does one person need 30 million dollars for? I’ve survived on a lot less and I’m doing just fine.’
Julia went on to say, “It truly is Valentino’s flat,” elaborating on the reason she hasn’t moved into a larger location. You may call it sentimental. I could have gotten a larger apartment if I wanted to, but I think it’s important for Valentino to feel like he’s living a regular life.
‘I don’t want him to grow up and be a p***k. I want him to be in touch with the real world. I grew up in the real world. I just want my son to be the same.’
Julia, who has a shared Valentino with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev, also talked about her wardrobe. She noted that many of her fans incorrectly assume she owns all of the designer pieces she wears.

‘You guys are like, “she wears hundreds of dollars of couture”. Borrowed couture.’
‘Most of the clothes I wear are young designers just starting out,’ she added.
Last week, Julia chose to offer followers an honest look into her New York City residence, showcasing the private environment she and Valentino had created for themselves.
‘Okay I never thought in a million years that I would do this, but I do believe in maximum transparency and so I’m going to give you guys an apartment tour,’ she began the clip.

‘I know I’m going to get roasted and whatever, but hopefully, maybe someone can watch this and be like, “Maybe I’m not doing so bad!”’
“We’ll start in my bedroom which is the living room — I put my bed here in the living room so I could make my bedroom into a small playroom for Valentino,” she explained as she showed off her personal bedroom, which was decorated with framed photographs, skincare items, and general clutter.
The actress then showed off a space in her home outfitted with toys and bicycles for her little son.
She showed off her “growth station,” which consisted of two plants that were clearly not growing, and swept the camera past personal images of the child and her friends.
When Julia had finished showing off the lengthy corridor and the bathroom, which she characterised as “quite little but it accomplishes what it is intended to do,” she brought up Valentino’s toy kitchen, which was situated just across from the actual one.
‘Don’t judge me, I know it’s really messy! I also have shoeboxes in the kitchen which is very common for New Yorkers,’ she insisted, before unveiling her son’s bedroom.
‘He does not hang out in here at all, he only wants to be in mamma’s room.
‘He doesn’t even sleep in there, he sleeps in bed with me. Yeah, we’re co-sleepers, sue me. I don’t care.’
She went back to her room and remarked, “We do have a tiny mouse problem, but it’s a problem depending on how you look at it.”
‘I let them rock, I appreciate that they – at night, while we’re sleeping – come out and clean up the crumbs that my son drops on the floor. I’m not going to evict the mice anytime soon.’
What Julia did with her apartment tour is legendary in our eyes.
