Jamie Oliver has become the hero the internet didn’t know it needed after responding harshly to Jake Humphrey’s plea.
The celebrity chef was on Chris Moyles’ XFM radio show when he was approached by the former sports presenter and asked to appear on his High Performance podcast.
Not long ago, famous chef Gordon Ramsay appeared on the programme and was lambasted for claiming he was ‘poor’ while owning a Porsche.
Jake, 45, explained that he had been anxiously attempting to reach the £1 Wonders host but had been unable, so he decided to ask him for a response live on television.
‘I’ve reached out to Jamie Oliver around 50 times,’ shouted the former BT Sport anchor, forcing the radio DJs to giggle.
‘Jamie Oliver, please can you come on the High Performance podcast,’ Jake begged Chris, 49.
‘And please can you get Chris to get you to say yes or no live on the radio so therefore it’s contractually binding, we don’t pay a fee, thanks.’
When Jamie, 48, heard the message in a question part during the interview, she laughed before saying, ‘Absolutely not.’
Chris grinned and answered, ‘Okay terrific, sorry Jake,’ before bursting out laughing at the chef’s harsh dismissal.
Fans on X (Twitter) have been ecstatic, with user Liam capturing the event in a tweet that has garnered over 3.5 million views.
He wrote: ‘Jamie Oliver completely mugging off Jake Humphrey is the feel-good content I didn’t know I needed.’
Food delivery company Deliveroo got in on the joke and commented: ‘Rare Jamie Oliver W.’

Jamie’s own antics have long been contentious, with the British public never quite forgiving him for removing Turkey Twizzlers from school canteens in the name of better health.
‘He’s forgiven for the Turkey Twizzlers,’ Christopher tweeted while Tom shared: ‘Step closer to forgiving Jamie Oliver for getting rid of Turkey Twizzlers.’
In the quote tweets, Nooruddean added: ‘The clammy neediness followed by the succinct retort. It’s the most delicious thing Jamie Oliver ever done.’
‘Imagine reaching out for Jamie Oliver 50 times. Surely if you’ve been ignored 4/5 times you’d get the message?’ asked another user, Patt.
Dave joked: ‘So turns out Jamie Oliver’s best Christmas roast is Jake Humphrey.’
