Sam Smith is ecstatic to have been named as the final performer on the Barbie film soundtrack.
The Barbie film has generated a lot of buzz, having produced an international pink paint scarcity, invented a new term in Kenergy, and launched the Barbiecore movement to new heights.
In a recent social media post, the Unholy singer, 31, got their Barbie-groove on while dressed in the most famous attire ever.
The star danced around in the long snuggie-hoody mouthing the song lyrics – ‘That’s just the man I am / Baby treat me right, I’m free tonight’ – and jovially pointing at the camera.
The garm, emblazoned with the distinctive Barbie lettering and adorned with palm palms, transported us back to our youth, and we need to know where Sam acquired it right now.
‘Excuse me, but where can I get one of those Barbie Snuggie things?!’ wrote one fan.
Another agreed, as they said: ‘OMG I neeeeeeed this hoody 😍😍😍’

Man I Am, penned with Mark Ronson, will be released on July 21st, the same day as the highly anticipated movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Along with Sam, the music for the plastic-fantasy film will include songs by Lizzo, Charli XCX, Nicki Minaj, and Billie Eilish. That’s not a horrible lineup.
‘I cannot begin to express how incredibly excited I am to be a part of the soundtrack to this already iconic film,’ Sam wrote on social media on announcing their new track.

‘I was invited by the incredible @iammarkronson and Greta Gerwig to write a song from the perspective of Ken for one of the scenes and we honestly had so much fun with this.
‘I cannot wait for you to hear what we’ve created together…BARBIE LAND HERE WE COME!!!!’
Their revelation comes on the heels of the film revealing a clip of Drive star Ryan’s yet-to-be-named first track, which will also be included on the album.
Hilariously, the lyrics go as follows: ‘I’m just Ken, anywhere else I’d be a 10 / Is it my destiny to live and die a life of blonde fragility?’
That is classic Kenergy.
We’re not sure whether we should be more excited for the film or the record… Or perhaps both? Let us use both.
Roll on July 21.
