We enjoy seeing celebs go all-out for karaoke, and Vanessa Feltz has more than delivered with her latest session.
On Sunday, the 61-year-old presenter looked to be accompanying a family excursion to the iconic London toy store Hamleys when she was drawn to a karaoke machine on one of the floors.
During the visit, she displayed a photo of herself in a flowery pink maxi-dress meeting the renowned Fireman Sam, as well as a photo of her grandson Amiel – son of her youngest daughter Saskia, 33, and husband Marc Joss – sitting on the lap of an outstanding Lego King Charles III.
However, she returned to Instagram early on Monday morning with the goods, posting an awesome footage of herself doing her best Ariel with her own interpretation of the Alan Menken and Howard Ashman classic, Part of Your World.
Vanessa seems to be at ease with the song, despite the fact that the debut of Disney’s live-action rendition of The Little Mermaid is just a few weeks away.
Yes, she had the words on screen to aid her, but she exuded confidence and glitz as she held all the long notes and aimed for the victorious high note at the conclusion.
Vanessa also made a point of singing to her audience during the performance, turning to recognise them at certain moments.
The This Morning host has been seen out and about in recent weeks, enjoying life after her devastating breakup from her 16-year boyfriend, Ben Ofoedu, 50.
It came after she found on Christmas Day that the Phats & Small musician had cheated on her on many occasions, leaving her ‘humiliated’ and splitting her heart ‘into a million pieces’.
Vanessa let her hair down with companion and colleague journalist Rosie Green, documenting her ‘wonderful drunken frolics’ on social media after being candid in her road to mending her loss.
She’s also been sharing her usual candid opinions on TV, claiming she ‘doesn’t believe a word’ of Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Fields’ recent allegation that they had a sexless marriage.
Vanessa also recalled the programme she co-hosted with late US talk show star Jerry Springer, which centred on the incestuous premise of ‘I had sex with my aunt,’ and revealed how the show came together.
She continued: ‘And the way they put it together was that Jerry used to take big swings with a baseball bat that was owned by Babe Ruth and completely ignored the briefings.
‘So when he went out on the set when the show began, he honestly didn’t know whose mother was who, what the what was.’
