YouTuber Charlie McDonnell has made a gender reveal announcement on social media, revealing they’ve now adopted the pronouns ‘she/they’.
In post shared on Instagram, Charlie – who first joined YouTube in 2007 and has over two million subscribers – uploaded a picture of themselves with shoulder-length hair, smiling at the camera while wearing clear rimmed glasses.
In the caption, the filmmaker said they were making a ‘gender reveal’, while including the emoji for the transgender flag.
They continued: ‘Still going by Charlie but the new pronouns are she/they!’

However, the photo Charlie uploaded of themselves for their gender reveal announcement has been made their profile picture.
In December 2018, Charlie stepped away from YouTube, spending more time in their career on screenwriting and TV production.
