Kim K is used to causing a stir, but her new ad for KIMADE is making fitfluencers very angry.
The reality show star’s ad for Alani Nutrition, which makes drinks, snacks, and vitamins to help you get fit, has been criticised for showing an impossible workout and for partnering with Kim.
Kim is wearing a white swimsuit, shoes and a diamond necklace in the campaign photos. Her hair is perfectly blown out, and she has a full face of makeup on as she lifts two baby weights while sitting on a bench.
We don’t know about you, but when we go to the gym, we don’t look like that. We’re soaked with sweat, don’t have any makeup on, and are wearing a sports bra and tights that we want to wear one more time before washing.
Well, fitness stars have taken to Instagram to show us the difference between what people post on Instagram and what they look like in real life.
Emily Muir, who goes by the name em.powered on the site, shared some actual side-by-side pictures of her doing the same exercises as the Kardashians.

She wrote: ‘We all know this is a photoshoot BUT I just feel like there’s 1000’s of coaches driving home to get women to train without being self conscious and we end up back to square one with one person.
‘Please remember girls, the gym is for mental and physical growth no one gives a f**k what you look like!
‘P.s can’t wait to wear me diamond necklace and white cozzy to train legs tomorrow’.
Her fans were quick to praise her for “keeping it real” and making women feel less self-conscious when working out.
One wrote: ‘These are brilliant!! Insta vs reality in its truest form. Fab as always.’
Another added: ‘Absolutely love this! You’re definitely killing it and the facial expressions are OP!! Keep keeping it real.’
Laura Hoggins, who is known as Laura Biceps in the fitness world, also went on Instagram to react on the post.
She wrote: ‘Sorry Kimmy, move over love, we’ve had enough of your chat (other lifters are available).’
Another fitness account tgpt_fitness wrote: ‘Don’t lift like a Kardashian! Lift like Laura Biceps.’
Many people commented on Kim K’s original post with Alani to say that Kim was not the right person for the effort.
Another wrote: ‘Really @alaninutrition with many moms out there hustle to get that sweaty workout done and grabbing those heavy food shopping bags’, while another simply said: ‘So many fitness creators y’all could’ve picked and you went with the Kim?’
One reviewer even said that Khloe Kardashian would have been a better choice for the promotion.
