Stop what you’re doing, because Hugh Jackman has provided an update on his Wolverine training.
The Australian actor, 54, doesn’t appear to be slowing down his attempts to get back into shape for his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
Hugh posted a black-and-white video of himself working out at the gym while his trainer encouraged him.
The X-Men star rocked back and forth in the plank position, a heavy weight on his back.
He smiled and said, ‘Good day,’ while thanking his trainer in what appeared to be considerable discomfort.
‘If you’re looking for me. I’m #becomingwolverineagain,’ he captioned the video.
Fans were impressed by the update, as one wrote: ‘If Aliens ever invade, they’ll take one look at Hugh and if they know what’s good for them, turn around and go home. They don’t want none of this 😂’.
Another supportively penned, ‘You got this legend!’ while a third joked: ‘Hugh Jackedman’.
We don’t envy Hugh’s gym programme, but at the end of it, we’ll all be jealous of his abs.
In the newest episode of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool trilogy, the actor will reprise his iconic role as the bad-tempered Wolverine.
From 2000 through 2016, the Marvel actor played Wolverine in eight X-Men films, with his most recent appearance in Logan in 2017.

His reappearance followed Ryan’s unsubtle signals that he wanted the actor on board for the picture.
The Wrexham AFC co-owner made the joyful revelation in a video in which he teased supporters that he had ‘all but one’ idea for the upcoming Deadpool feature.
Hugh then casually walked into frame, and Ryan said, ‘Hey Hugh, want to play Wolverine one last time?’
To the delight of fans, the actor replied: ‘Yeah, sure Ryan’.
Hugh recently said that getting in shape for Wolverine would be his full-time job for the next six months.
Speaking on HBO Max’s Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace, he said: ‘I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time.
‘So, we have six months from when I finish [Broadway’s The Music Man] to when I started filming. And I’m not doing any other work.
‘I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.’
It was also recently discovered that the actor consumes an astounding 8,600 calories every day for his arduous bulking regime.
There is one aspect of his instruction that we can completely support.
Deadpool 3 is set to be released on September 6, 2024.
