Lewis Capaldi had the greatest reaction to billboards advertising his new Netflix documentary.
The Scottish musician, 26, welcomed cameras into his life behind the scenes for a film titled How I’m Feeling Now, which will be published on April 5.
Lewis revealed his thoughts on the web ad that included images of a young Liz Truss in place of the star’s real visage, joking that the streaming platform should dismiss their marketing team.
He rushed to Twitter to express his feelings on the amusing advertisement, which alluded to the analogies many have made between the politician and the artist.
In the past, the star questioned similarities made to the former Prime Minister and tweeted: ‘Why do I look like so many female politicians.’
Lewis penned the caption: ‘Ffs whoever is in charge of the billboards at Netflix needs firing [sic],’ to which an admin for the Netflix official account responded: ‘I had a good run’.
The Forget Me hit maker was in a back and forth with a fan that tweeted the star a message of congratulations: ‘Congratulations @LewisCapaldi on becoming the next Prime minister #LizTruss [sic]’.
His forthcoming film will examine the singer’s mental health challenges as he learned to negotiate public life and his Tourette’s syndrome diagnosis.
Fans received a peek of an encounter between the celebrity and his mother in the documentary’s teaser, which showed him having a panic attack following a one-night affair.
Lewis’s mother had to go and pick up her son and she is heard saying in the clip: ‘Having to be picked up by your mother from your one night stand because you are having a panic attack’.
He responded with: ‘So glad you brought that up’.
Prior to the teaser’s publication, the chart-topper mentioned the upcoming film on his Instagram account.
He wrote in a caption: ‘The film is called How I’m Feeling Now and it’s named after a song I wrote, which will be released at midnight on the 17th of March.
‘It’s the last song I wrote for my upcoming album and is a tune that’s all about something I’ve never really written about in my music before which is my mental health’.
