It’s official: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will tour the United Kingdom later this year.
The band will perform in London, Hull, Cardiff, Leeds, and Glasgow in a few months, marking the group’s first UK gigs since Glastonbury 2022.
The tour begins in Hull in August and goes until December, providing Noel’s fans plenty of chances to see him perform what he does best.
The announcement follows the release of a new song, Dead To The World, from High Flying Birds’ next album Council Skies, which will be released on June 2.
Raving about the single, Noel, 55, said: ‘It has this film noir vibe. It’s not like anything else I’ve ever done before. It’s very melancholic, but I like that. I’m a Gemini – I’m as up as I am down, and the trick is to meet somewhere in the middle and turn that into music.’
Noel’s tour announcement comes only days after he replied to his brother Liam Gallagher’s allegations of an Oasis reunion.
Earlier this month, Liam, 50, was questioned about the possibility of the famed Britpop trio reforming, and he said, ‘It’s happening.’
During an interview with France Inter last week, Noel was questioned about an Oasis reunion and mentioned the media coverage of Liam’s tweet, stating, ‘There’s something in the papers back in England today.’
The musician went on: ‘He should get his people to call my people; they know who they are, they know where we are. Stop talking on the f*****g internet, and let’s see what you’ve got to say.’
Asked whether he was confirming all it would take to get Oasis back on the road was a phone call from Liam, Noel added: ‘You would think, right? You would think. He’s got my number, he’s got my manager’s number, call us. But you know what? He won’t call.’
Tickets for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ UK tour will go on general sale at 9am on Friday March 31.
