Danni Menzies, star of A Place in the Sun, has revealed the devastating face injuries she sustained three months after being hit by a stolen bike.
The presenter, 32, was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Battersea, London, in October 2022, when two ladies driving the car lost control and drove into her at 30mph.
Danni was found unconscious on the ground before being rushed to the hospital, and she has subsequently uploaded photos of herself undergoing treatment and lying on the ground.
Danni provided updated photos of her injuries, which included bruising around her eyes, scrapes on her lip and above her brow, and swelling.
Taking to Instagram to update her followers, she wrote: ‘I don’t want to trigger anyone but wow. I’m only just looking back on what went on a few months ago. Mental.’
‘Couldn’t even think about sharing any pics at the time,’ she added.
She then posted a newer photo, stating, ‘And here’s a current one so you’re not left with those photographs of myself.’
Danni, who just announced her resignation from A Place In The Sun, tweeted photographs of the scenario where her hair and face were covered in blood, while she had a bloody tissue in her hand, and another of her resting on a hospital stretcher shortly after the incident occurred.
She wrote at the time: ‘So, on Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!) by a stolen moped that lost control.
‘Didn’t see it coming and it’s not looking pretty right now to be honest.
‘I’m sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime, I might be a wee bit quiet on here.’
‘Earlier this month, Danni was hit by a stolen moped that got out of control,’ a source had confirmed to MailOnline in October.
‘She was knocked unconscious and suffered significant facial wounds. She is recuperating at home and resting until the concussion subsides.’
A source close to Danni also told the publication that she had a ‘truly horrible experience,’ explaining that she is still ‘in shock’ and ‘fearful to leave the house.’
The insider added that Danni’s mum is by her side for support following the ‘scary ordeal.’
‘All she hopes now is to regain her confidence, take time offline to recover, and for her facial wounds to completely heal.’
