*Actually don’t do that.
The programme even achieved the rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (it’s now down to a still amazing 99%), and happily for us, show creator Lee Sung Jin has already planned the following three seasons.
‘I have one really big general idea that I can’t really say yet,’ he teased.
‘But I have three seasons mapped out in my head currently.’
‘There are a lot of ideas on my end to keep this story going,’ he explained to Rolling Stone.
‘I think should we be blessed with a season two, there’s a lot of ways for Danny and Amy to continue.’
Someone should instantly bless them.
Amy Lau (Ali Wong) and Daniel Cho (Steven Yeun) are complete strangers until they clash in an explosive road rage incident in the first season’s ten episodes.
Failing contractor Daniel and self-made plant entrepreneur Amy may appear to be diametrically opposed, yet they have more in common than they realise: they are both extremely dissatisfied.
Their lives become increasingly linked as they seek vengeance on each other, culminating in a dramatic conclusion in the final episode.
According to Variety, the series is now being considered for Emmy Awards as a limited or anthology series.
Fans have already shown support for a second season.
One person tweeted: ‘Phenomenal ending to a phenomenal show. I need a season two desperately’.
‘#Beef on netflix is thoroughly enjoyable. It’s been a long time since I had this much fun watching a netflix original. That being said, I need season two NOW,’ another added.
‘I need Beef season two immediately,’ chimed in another fan. Straight to the point.
The people have spoken!
Beef is available to stream on Netflix.
