Olivia, a Big Brother housemate, avoided elimination because Jenkin accidentally nominated her.
But that wasn’t the major topic of discussion in the first episode. It was, after all, her lunch.
The 23-year-old Scottish dancer was nominated for the public vote, which will take place live on Friday night, after barmaid Jenkin, 25, claimed she would be the most unpleasant roommate to live with during a nasty game of pass the parcel.
Olivia’s reaction was anything from calm, as she burst into tears and the air became dense with tension barely hours after meeting Jenkin.
Big Brother, on the other hand, assigned her a devious hidden mission that would let her to rescue herself if she could escape being voted the ‘least entertaining’ in the classic line-up game.
So Olivia set to work, and she worked really hard.
This girl was making sure no one called her dull by singing Scottish tunes and cartwheeling around the lawn.
And it actually worked! Because Olivia was saved and her purpose was eventually disclosed to the 15 other roommates, who did, admittedly, wonder how she had so much energy at that time of day.
But it wasn’t Olivia’s cartwheels that stole the stage tonight… Enter through the Salmon Gate.
When make-up artist Farida, 50, gently asked if she might taste some of her salmon, the Glaswegian reality star was having her lunch in the kitchen.
‘Can I have a little taste of salmon? I’m much more of a fish person than a chicken person,’ Farida asked before diving in.
Olivia made no fuss about it at the moment, but soon went out into the garden to vent to the others, leaving Farida in the dark about what she’d done.
‘I was eating my salmon and my corn and Farida was like, “Can I have some of your corn?”,’ Olivia detailed.
‘And I was like, “Yeah, go for it.” Then she started eating my salmon, my actual lunch. She had a spoon and was eating off my plate.’
She added: ‘I was a bit like, “I don’t know how I feel about this”.’
The incident rapidly became a subject of talk among the housemates, who thought it amusing because Farida was completely unaware of the drama she’d provoked.
It was also entertaining for BB fans, though many have had enough of Olivia ranting about it.
‘not faridah talking about how much she likes olivia not knowing she went on a full rant about her eating her salmon’, one person tweeted.

Olivia literally asked Farida if she wanted the salmon then went out and make a big deal out of it as if Farida just walked over and picked off her plate without saying anything 🤦🏻♀️ #BBUK

Olivia needs to have a calm chat about Salmon-gate with Farida, establish that she doesn't appreciate it and done. It doesn't need to blow up into anything nasty. #BBUK

‘i’ve had enough of olivia and her damn salmon’, said another.
‘Olivia babe you literally offered her some salmon, behave’, another argued.
‘Look, can we all just be clear – Olivia offered Farida some salmon right?!’, another echoed.
Another viewer suggested: ‘Olivia needs to have a calm chat about Salmon-gate with Farida, establish that she doesn’t appreciate it and done. It doesn’t need to blow up into anything nasty.’
After only 24 hours, there’s already beef, well, salmon, amongst housemates… This is going to be a fantastic series!
Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
