The horrible murders of Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, are being recounted in the ITV television series The Long Shadow.
The true crime documentary, which premiered last night (September 25) on ITV1 and ITVX, focuses on what happened to his 13 victims.
When crafting the emotive and unsettling programme, creators spoke to the families and investigation team at the heart of the narrative, charting Sutcliffe’s horrendous murders before his final arrest in 1981.
It has an all-star cast from cinema and television, including soap stars and faces from past true crime successes.
