Despite the uproar after his Meghan Markle column, Jeremy Clarkson has stated that Clarkson’s Farm would return for a third season.
On February 10, the Amazon Prime Video programme returned, with thousands of fans binge-watching the whole series over the weekend.
However, Amazon allegedly cut relations with Clarkson after he wrote in his column for The Sun that he ‘hated’ the Duchess of Sussex on a ‘cellular level’ and imagined she would be showered with faeces and stripped nude on the street.
After becoming the most complained about piece of all time and being pulled from The Sun, the column is now being probed by the UK’s press watchdog.
Clarkson’s Farm has at least one more series still to air.
Clarkson reacted on Monday to a fan who wanted to know whether there will be more episodes of the docu-series, which follows the presenter as he attempts to understand life as a farmer on his Diddly Squat property.
‘I loved it on Saturday that just passed, loved the show can’t wait for a season 3 if there is one,’ tweeted the fan, who got exactly the answer they wanted.
Clarkson replied: ‘There is one.’
Clarkson’s current series chronicles his struggle with Oxford Council, which refused to grant the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host permission to operate his Diddy Squat Restaurant.
The restaurant did ultimately debut in 2022, however it supposedly shuttered in January 2023 owing to a difficult planning struggle.
His local ‘nemesis’ has even begun a crowd funding campaign to block the restaurant, raising nearly £20,000 and hopes to raise £25,000 to offer ‘an initial fighting budget should this proceed to Judicial Review’.
Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video now.
