Judi Love has said that only a few short years ago, she had a difficult time affording school shoes for her children, and she has said : ‘I always have that in me, there’s always that little bit of worry.’
Due to factors like as inflation, the Covid-19 epidemic, and Brexit, the United Kingdom has been experiencing a cost of living crisis since 2021. This crisis is characterised by increased costs for household items.
After conducting a survey of 2,000 people in January of this year, which evaluated payments such as those for mortgages and credit cards, new data has showed that 2.3 million families were projected to have missed an important payment in January of this year. The survey was conducted by Which?
Judi, 42, joined Susanna Reid, 52, and Ben Shephard, 48, in the ITV studio on Thursday’s episode of Good Morning Britain to discuss her impending national stand-up tour. This will be the first time that Judi has ever participated in such an event.
Susanna brought up the fact that the star of Loose Women has, in the past, ‘been quite honest’ about her ‘background,’ and that, despite the fact that she may appear to be ‘living the beautiful TV lifestyle now,’ this wasn’t always the case for her in the past. Susanna emphasised this point.
I come from a family that was raised in the working class, and I’m a single mom. As a mother of two adolescents, the former star of “Strictly Come Dancing” shared her experience, “I worked in childcare when I was younger.”
After receiving the news that her mother had a brain aneurysm when Judi was just nine years old, she started working as a child care provider.
She continued: ‘I’d say seven years ago, there was a period where I couldn’t afford to buy school shoes for my kids.’
Explaining that she can ‘connect’ to people going through money troubles, she added: ‘I know the worry of thinking, “What’s going to be next? Is it just that one more bill too extra that takes you to a place that you don’t want to think about?”
‘I always have that in me, there’s always that little bit of worry and I feel it to my core for many people that’s going through it, because I know that anxiety.’
As Judi resumed her conversation with the other co-hosts of the GMB show, Susanna questioned Judi about her thoughts on “presenticians,” who are politicians who are interested in getting hired for TV presenting roles. There are rumours that Matt Hancock may be interested in this line of work.
In light of this, Judi lauded Susanna and called the broadcaster a “bad boss” for the authoritative manner in which she questioned the former health secretary on GMB earlier this week. Susanna was given high acclaim by Judi.
She remarked, “Can I say Susanna, you are a bad boss?” as Susanna gazed wide-eyed and surprised at the camera at their guest’s praise.
‘Susanna, you asked the questions that a lot of us wanted to ask.’
Susanna revealed how Kate Garraway confronted the politician while they were both in the studio together. The presenter recounted how she was unable to see her husband Derek Draper in the hospital after he was diagnosed with Covid-19. Susanna explained how Kate Garraway did this.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
