Kate Garraway really hopes a ‘queue love story’ will ensue as thousands of mourners line up to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen’s coffin arrived at 3pm today after the Royal Family accompanied her on foot in an emotional final farewell to Buckingham Palace.
Some mourners got there two days early in a bid to say goodbye to the country’s monarch of 70 years.
During Thursday’s installment of Good Morning Britain, hosts Kate and Ben Shephard couldn’t help but gush over the newfound friendships formed from those who have waited in line for hours.
Expressing her desire for a Nicholas Sparks romance, Kate enthused: ‘People will meet their husbands and wives in that queue.
‘I guarantee connections will be made that will last a lifetime.’

Tickled by Kate’s remarks, co-host Ben replied: ‘Husbands and wives?’
‘Well the baby and the family I met yesterday, they had got together because of their shared love of royalty.
‘There’s going to be people with a similar frame of mind, people from all walks of life from all over the world. I would love to hear about it.’
After Ben joked that there’ll be ‘Royal queuing dating apps’ when it’s over he insisted that the concept of ‘queuing friends’ will last ‘forever.’
The late monarch will be laid to rest on Monday, September 19, at Westminster Abbey, London, 10 days after her death on Thursday, September 9.
In the UK, coverage of Her Majesty’s funeral will air on BBC One, BBC News, and BBC iPlayer, while ITV will air the event live and uninterrupted on its main channel and simultaneously on all of its digital channels.
Carolina Beltramo, TV analyst at WatchTVAbroad.com, predicted ‘no fewer than 4.1billion people are expected to tune in on Monday.’
There will be a national bank holiday to allow as many people as possible to watch the Queen’s funeral.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
