Panellist on Loose Women Sophie Morgan provided an update from the hospital after undergoing surgery.
The TV host, novelist, and disability champion is now ill, although she has stated that she is still working hard, even from a hospital bed.
Sharing an update about her health on Wednesday Sophie, 37, said she had been held there following ‘complications post minor procedure’.
She also stated that she wanted to publish the update, which included a photo of her masked laying in bed, to emphasise how difficult it is for disabled people to find the energy to fight when their bodies are already a battleground.
Her message highlighted her current effort, a campaign triggered by an event three weeks ago where British Airways smashed her £8,000 wheelchair.
Sophie was paralysed at the age of 18 after sustaining a T6 spinal cord damage in a vehicle accident in 2003.
‘Progress Update: Letter to PM from MP about to be circulated for signatures,’ she also mentioned in her post.
‘Aviation experts consulting. Campaign launching next week. Global partnerships being established.’
Sophie said last month that the airline rendered her wheelchair inoperable after connecting its two pieces on a voyage from Los Angeles to London.

Sophie stated she didn’t feel ‘respected’ as a person after being left in a hazardous position on an aisle chair and with a wheelchair that might take months to fix following what happened on Loose Women.
‘We’re sorry for Sophie’s experience, and we’re investigating what happened as soon as possible,’ said a British Airways spokeswoman at the time.
It now looks she will begin a campaign to enable people in wheelchairs fly more easily, after earlier stating that airlines should “do better” and find a solution to allow people to travel in wheelchairs to prevent these complications.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
