Olivia Hawkins, the Love Island 2023 star, has worked with Hollywood giants like as Daniel Craig and Jason Statham, but she swears not to name-drop when she joins the villa.
The ITV2 programme will return soon, with Maya Jama taking over as the new host following the retirement of her predecessor Laura Whitmore.
Olivia, a 27-year-old ring girl and actor from Brighton, is one of the singletons in South Africa looking for love.S
Speakingahead of the launch presentation about her hopes for the competition and her real-world career, which included a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance in the most recent Bond film, No Time To Die.
‘Obviously that’s one of my pinch me moments,’ she remarked of her experience on the film, which was Daniel’s final excursion as 007,’ she said. It was an honour to work on that.’
Olivia has worked as a body double for actors Emma Watson and Michelle Keegan on numerous productions, and as a ‘trophy wife’ in the Acorn TV series Queens of Mystery.
‘I’ve been around some amazing people, and they’re all very lovely and very normal,’ she stated.
Despite her past experience in showbiz, Olivia added: ‘I won’t be name-dropping. Obviously, I’ll let them know what my career is. But I don’t think I’ll be dropping any names.’
So there are no anecdotes concerning whether Daniel prefers his martini shaken or stirred?
‘Oh, amazing,’ she said of the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery actor on set. He’s so professional and in the zone.’
‘He’s amazing,’ she remarked of The Italian Job star Jason, who she has worked with on another project. To be honest, it was just like any other [10-minute] talk about the weather… It was so ordinary. He’s really kind and down-to-earth.’
OIivia’s hopes for Love Island are to find someone with whom she can have a strong connection, having never been in a long-term relationship previously.
‘I’m 27 and I’ve never been in a relationship so I feel like now I’m really ready to settle down and hopefully find the love of my life,’ she shared.
When addressing why she’s been single as of yet, she added: ‘Out of choice and maybe because in the past I’ve had commitment issues – but I’d say it’s mainly just the wrong boy, wrong time.’
Love Island launches on Monday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
