The mystery of Ron Hall and Tanyel Revan’s friendship, and if they might become more than friends, has hung over the Love Island villa.
And on tonight’s edition of the ITV2 show, the same doubts resurfaced once viewers and islanders learned the outcome of the heart-race challenge.
In the last episode, the girls and males – including new beauty Claudia Fogarty – were forced to do obscene lap dances for each other while disguised as roles ranging from a builder to a maid.
The goal of the game was for them to do whatever they could to elevate the heart rates of their listeners… and the findings were, to say the least, surprising.
Lana Jenkins’ pulse was raised the greatest by Casey O’Gorman after she ditched him in favour of Ron.
Tanyel, on the other hand, had her pulse accelerated by Ron, whom she had previously referred to as one of her dearest pals in the villa.
Despite Ron and Tanyel’s insistence that their relationship is strictly platonic, other Love Island stars, like Olivia Hawkins, have confessed that they believe sparks are flowing between them.
This was fueled during a kiss challenge, when they exchanged a passionate – and lengthy – snog in front of everyone.
Given the new developments, numerous fans agreed that rumours that they may have affections for one other aren’t going away anytime soon.
‘Tanyel can play it cool or whatever, but we all know that she wants Ron,’ one person tweeted.
‘Tanyel secretly fancies Ron, doesn’t she?’ another remarked.
Someone else wrote: ‘Tanyel’s heart rate was raised by Ron 👀 best friends that really like each other.’
‘Tanyel is deffo in love with Ron deep down,’ another expressed.
Tanyel is presently getting to meet Jordan Odofin, who arrived as a surprise at the same time as Casey.
She did, however, reveal that, while she is a “slow burner” in relationships, she isn’t feeling it with him just yet.
Casey, on the other hand, is eager to get started with the show’s newest addition, Claudia Fogarty, whose father is racing legend and former I’m A Celebrity… I need to get out of here! Carl Fogarty was the winner.
Let the games continue.
Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
