It’s day three of Love Island, and the second surprise has already arrived: they’re not fooling around this year.
Whitney Adebayo, a 25-year-old businesswoman from London, is the newest addition.
Whitney defines herself as’really frivolous and humorous,’ but she also admits to being ‘deep.’ While she seeks a partner with a ‘good sense of humour,’ ’emotional depth,’ and who makes time for her. That last one does feel like the bare minimum, especially while locked in a mansion.
She begins her hunt with André Furtado, who is overjoyed when he receives a text message that says, ‘André, Whitney is waiting for you at the beach for a champagne date!’ Please prepare to depart from the Villa. #BaeWatch #BigDayForDre
He exclaims in the beach hut: ‘You’ve made my day!’
The boys are on hand to hype André, 21, up before the blind date, and they give him one final pep talk. Tyrique says: ‘You got this. You’re the man, be yourself. Bring it home for the lads.’

‘Did you go in knowing you were gonna pick me?’ she enquires to which Zachariah confirms: ‘Yes, for sure. I’d be silly not to.’
He goes on to say that it wasn’t a difficult decision and that their atmosphere is ‘absolutely 100% natural.’
Tyrique Hyde, 23, flirts with Jess Harding in another scene from the programme.
When Jess, 22, asks him how things are going with Ella Thomas, 23, he says: ‘Obviously, it’s going well but I’m not closed off, I’ve said that from the jump to everyone.’
He quickly adds: ‘You looked sexy this morning.’
Jess asks Tyrique if he typically delivers nice phrases, to which he says, ‘I’m honest! “I say how I feel,” she says, before adding, “You’re a good kisser.”
Mitchel Taylor, 26, and Molly Marsh, 21, are early favourites who enjoy some one-on-one time when he asks her up to the balcony to tell her something.
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
