The Love Island finalists have confirmed they’re all making a return to the UK this morning, after the finale took place on Monday night.
Fans saw Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti crowned the winners of Love Island 2022 by a whopping margin, during the most-watched final since 2019.
Now the Love Island villa is well and truly closed until 2023, it’s time for the islanders to head home.
On Wednesday morning, the finalists shared snaps from the airport in Palma, Majorca, ahead of their flights back to the UK.
It appeared the couples were all being kept apart as they killed time before boarding, but they’re likely to all be on the same plane back.
Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack shared a clip in the queue to drop off their luggage, looking thrilled to be together.
Meanwhile, Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page posted a video of themselves both saying ‘we’re coming home!’, as they arrived at the airport.
Luca Bish uploaded a snap of his beau Gemma Owen dressed in full black comfies with a statement bag as they got ready to return.
Winners Ekin-Su and Davide revealed they were so excited to return home, with an adorable clip on their Instagram stories.
Other updates showed the islanders checking in together, with their personalised suitcases in tow.
They were helped by Jet 2 workers, and posed for a joint pic to go on the social media site.
On Tuesday night, the pair surprised fans with a short Instagram live on Davide’s account.
‘Guys, I was crying when I opened my phone… We’re lost for words,’ Davide told viewers.
Ekin-Su then revealed: ‘We’ve just got our phones back so it’s very surreal. I will be coming back tomorrow.’
Love Island can be streamed in full on ITV Hub now.
