Lost love on Love Island When Haris Namani said that Shaq Muhammad’s “dream woman” on paper was Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, he seemed to be dropping hints about a twist in the villa.
The 21-year-old boxer was a guest on the show’s spin-off talk show, Aftersun, and spoke up about life on the set to a group of famous faces.
When asked about his time on the show, he expressed regret at having to go so quickly but surprised presenter Maya Jama with some juicy dirt.
The teenage lothario’s revelations about Shaq and his partner Tanya Manhenga blew the roof off what appeared to be one of the most solid relationships in the house.
Fans were eager to assume an early split after cameras saw Zara and Shaq having private conversations, but the couple pushed through the possible difficult point and spent the night in the hideaway.
But Haris says things between the villa’s current power couple may not be as rosy as they appear.
The Doncaster native said as much about Zara being Shaq’s type on paper on Sunday night’s Aftersun programme.
After the model’s breakup with ex-boyfriend Tom Clare, speculation has begun online about who the next island love interest would be.
One fan wrote on Twitter: ‘Shaq’s type is Zara and he said it on the show. Shaq also isn’t Tanya’s type. Shaq asked Tanya if her type came in would her head turn meaning that Shaq isn’t her type. [sic]’
Another penned: ‘Shaq told me that Zara is his type. Tanya is not his type”. Not Harris being useful and spilling tea on #Aftersun! [sic]’
‘I’m sorry but how can no one see that Shaq is just playing games and sticking with Tanya because he’s trying to win’, this user said.
Online fans criticised Haris for creating drama despite the fact that they believed Shaq and Tanya were on the outs.
This account posted: ‘Haris trying to sabotage Shaq and Tanya by saying Shaq told him that Zara is more his type is pathetic. That’s irrelevant now, this hater is trying to get his two mins [sic]’.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
