Paris Hilton was mom-shamed when a video of her changing her son’s nappy for the first time went viral.
The Simple Life star, who just had her second kid with husband Carter Reum, gave birth to Phoenix in January.
She’s now giving us a glimpse into her life as a mother, however it’s not exactly what many expected.
A clip from her reality series Paris in Love shows the 42-year-old heiress changing her son’s nappy for the first time when he’s around a month old.
On her birthday in February, she’s supported by her son’s nanny and her sister Nicky as she takes on the daunting task for the first time, saying: ‘I know said I wouldn’t do this on my birthday but… I will for you, anything for Phoenix.’
‘I’m scared,’ she admits.
She then learns which side of a nappy is the front, before the nanny encourages her to talk to her own son, saying: ‘While you do that, you have to talk to him.’
Nicky later reveals in a confessional: ‘Growing up, Paris was more of a tomboy, she liked to hang out in the backyard, build forts, play with her pet rats, she wasn’t one to really talk about having a baby.
‘But motherhood, you’ve got to get your hands a little bit dirty.’
The video then pans to Paris doing just that, while Nicky looks on.
‘Clearly it’s not a money thing bc her sister is looking at her appalled,’ one viewer said.
Another wrote: ‘The nanny saying “don’t forget to talk to him” is heartbreaking.’
‘“I said I wasn’t going to do this on my birthday” umm what?? This is insane!!’ someone else said.
A fourth person penned: ‘So much disconnection between mom and baby… so sad.’
Other viewers stuck up for Paris, with one saying: ‘Seriously moms need to be supportive. She is trying and learning. She will learn like we all did.’
Someone else said: ‘No hate here. I see Paris posting lots of videos with her baby, and you can tell she adores her son. Maybe she had a slow start?’
Paris has previously spoken out about nasty comments mocking Phoenix’s appearance, saying: ‘Living life in the spotlight, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable.
‘This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe.
‘I’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment that is all about love, respect and acceptance, and I expect the same in return.
‘If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother and I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful.
‘I’m a proud working mom and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic.’
‘I’ve dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember,’ she continued. ‘Phoenix is my world and has been the biggest blessing of my life.
‘Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters. It’s hard to fathom that there are people in the world who would target such innocence.
‘I hope people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy.’
In addition, Paris slammed the cruel remarks on TikTok, stating that he is ‘totally well’.
Paris In Love is available to watch on in America.
