Rylan Clark and Ruth Langsford welcomed some pretty unexpected guests to This Morning: ‘real life fairies’.
The ITV hosts were left stunned to hear about two women who claimed to be ‘fairies’ and even insisted they had ‘fairy DNA’.
One of the fairies, Violet, introduced their way of life as a ‘connection to nature,’ explaining that fairies and ‘elementals’ were ‘nature sprits and guardians’.
‘There’s so much out there that we don’t see because we don’t take time to pause and connect,’ she explained, before the fairy sat beside her, Karen, insisted that she had ‘fairy DNA’.
Karen continued by insisting that she’s seen real fairies in nature, ‘with the wings and everything,’ admitting that they ‘talk’ to her.
‘I can’t hide the fact I have fairy DNA,’ said.
She added: ‘The magic is definitely a major thing with fairies, they can shapeshift, they can make things happen, you can work with them to manifest things… but only if they want to.’
‘They do have egos, not exactly the same as us, but they do have their own individual personalities.’
She continued by confirming that she had, in fact, ‘seen’ these fairies: ‘I’ve seen them in Cornwall where I live, I’ve seen them a couple of times with the wings and everything, but usually I see them as points of light.’
When Ruth asked if they ‘talk’ to her, she added: ‘Yeah they talk to me, I hear it like this, but I hear it in my head.’
She however declined that they were ‘voices in [her] head’, claiming that ‘it’s not my own internal voice, it comes with a feeling, they inspire me with ideas.’
It’s safe to say, viewers were pretty shocked by what they were hearing.
‘Real life fairies….get a grip,’ one person wrote, while another penned: ‘Loving the Real Life Fairies feature, nothing like a bit of diversion from cost of living nightmare.’
However, one viewer Tweeted: ‘I’ve always said fairytale comes from somewhere, I was fortunate to see two fairies two years ago. Magical & gives me goosebumps to think of it.’
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
