Despite their public feud, Sarah Jessica Parker has stated that she will never talk ‘poorly’ about her former Sex and The City co-star Kim Cattrall.
The duo played closest friends Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones on Sex and The City for six seasons and two films, but they’ve never been close in real life.
Kim, 66, said Sarah, 58, might have been “kinder” and that she’d “never been friends” with any of her Sex and The City co-stars.
Despite initial reservations, Kim will reprise her role as Samantha in season two of And Just Like That, which premieres this Thursday, June 22.
Sarah has stated that the moment is filled with ‘pleasure’ and ‘nostalgia,’ which will undoubtedly delight fans.
In a new interview with the New Yorker, however, she said: ‘We felt like it had been made clear by her that this was not a character she wanted to revisit.’
Of their fall out, she explained how bizarre she finds it to be played out in the media.
‘It’s the weirdest thing, to be told we’re in a catfight. I would never speak poorly about Kim. I just wouldn’t,’ she continued.
Kim’s reappearance as Samantha has been characterised as a “cliff-hanger” moment, with the publicist on the phone with Carriie.
Evan Handler, 62, of Harry Goldenblatt said Kim taped the entire incident “in a garage someplace with no communication with anybody.”
‘The only place I have to welcome her is into my living room when it airs on television,’ he said.
And Just Like That returns to NOW on June 22.
