Many have likened the new vicious and cruel rivalry on a new reality show to the Squid Game, a popular Netflix original.
In the South Korean survival drama, hundreds of contestants entered a mysterious game for the chance to earn money, but the game ended up having a deadly twist for those who didn’t make it to the finish.
The same competitive principle underpins Physical: 100, in which 100 competitors display their physical prowess and combat skills.
After enduring a series of excruciatingly difficult tests, the lone survivor will be awarded 300,000,000 won (South Korean money).
Others than regular folks are competing for the cash, including some famous YouTubers, Olympians, stars of the dating show Single Inferno, and a K-Pop dancer.

One obstacle has the players dangling on metal bars until they all fall off into the water below.
Men are seen in another scenario using just their bare hands to strike one other down until one of them is victorious.
The trailer promises, “Fight to the death, survive to the end,” but losing isn’t as catastrophic as it may be in Squid Game.
‘Nnew series on netflix called Physical 100 is giving me Survival of the fittest, squid game vibes,’ one person wrote.
‘Physical 100 is kinda like the Squid Game without the killing,’ another noted.
Someone else wrote: ‘I’m watching this Korean Physical: 100 show and there’s a death match ????? Is this real life Squid Games ?????????????????’
The synopsis for the series reads: ‘One hundred contestants in top physical shape compete to claim the honor of the ultimate physique in this intense survival reality series’.
Physical: 100 is available to watch on Netflix, with new episodes dropping weekly.
