This Morning’s Phillip Schofield might be replaced soon after Alison Hammond and Holly Willoughby wowed ITV executives with their on-screen relationship.
Holly, 42, and Alison, 48, hosted the midday programme last month while Phil was on leave for his brother Timothy Schofield’s court case, in which he was convicted guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage boy over a three-year period.
The brief This Morning collaboration was such a hit with viewers that executives are reportedly planning to pair them together more frequently.
‘It was a super-clever idea to slip Alison in with Holly, and it worked really brilliantly,’ one source revealed.
‘It was a new dynamic for Holly who has starred with Phil almost every time she has appeared on This Morning for nearly 14 years.

‘The bosses are absolutely delighted with their decision to put them together and want to find ways to do it more often.’
While ‘nobody’s meant to debate Phil’s future’ on the show, they noted to the Mail On Sunday that it has been a hot topic since Holly and Alison hosted together.
Insiders said earlier this month that Holly is ‘faithful’ to Phil and that she would always be there for him and This Morning.
‘She sees it as her role to keep things going,’ a source added to the publication.
This Morning employers were reportedly said to be pleased to have Phil back on the couch following his brother’s trial.
A source told Mail Online: ‘Phillip is a much loved member of our team and we wanted to make sure we supported him.’
‘We are so happy he will be back where he belongs.’
Between October 2016 and October 2019, Phil’s brother was charged with 11 sexual crimes involving children, including two counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
Following the guilty conviction, Phil released a statement in which he stated that he ‘no longer’ has a sibling.
