Bruno Tonioli, a rookie to Britain’s Got Talent, experienced Simon Cowell’s fury during his big debut.
The former Strictly Come Dancing judge, 67, joined Simon, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon on the panel in the season 16 premiere.
It was stated following the first day of auditions that Bruno wasn’t very familiar with BGT protocols, and this was clearly shown after one auditionee’s performance.
Mikko Rautiainen, 43, astonished the judges by performing a pop song medley on a recorder through his nose.
Yes, Britain’s Got Talent has returned.
Giving his two cents on Mikko’s audition, Bruno said: ‘Well it’s definitely original and your nose is going to be perfectly clean, but it’s a no from me.’
Bruno startled the crowd and the judges by punching his buzzer shortly after delivering his decision.
‘You don’t have to do that as well. You can just say no!’ Simon snapped.
Bruno asked: ‘I don’t have to do that? Oh I’m sorry.’
Clearly stunned by the bold move, Simon felt compelled to ask Bruno: ‘Have you ever watched this show?’
As a result, Amanda and Alesha acknowledged that Bruno had never seen the talent show.
It’s a learning process, Bruno!
The flamboyant choreographer took over for long-serving judge David Walliams, who was caught on tape making nasty remarks about those competing for the reality talent programme.
