The first teaser trailer for Celebrity Race Across The World has surfaced, and fans are, naturally, losing their minds.
As the popular BBC reality competition’s regular season came to a close on Wednesday night, the first-ever star-studded version will air this year.
Following the announcement of the winners, viewers were treated to an early peek at the next celebrity series, which appears to be one not to be missed.
The Beebs kept their celebrities’ names hidden, with even the most observant viewers unable to see their faces in the brief preview.
There were, however, voice-overs, with one man declaring that ‘anything could happen,’ and another woman laughing uncontrollably about the’most wild day of my life.’
The preview showed magnificent vistas of beach communities, secluded islands, and huge cities – and even a reindeer pulling a sleigh.

Already, anticipation for the new series is mounting, with fans flocking to social media to offer their thoughts – but not everyone is thrilled with the notion.
‘Celebrity race across the world? No thanks. I’d rather see normal folk get the chance of having the trip of a lifetime,’ one viewer complained.
Another said it was ‘up there with the most unnecessary things ever,’ while one declared we ‘don’t need’ a celebrity version.
‘Oh no hope not a celebrity version. The good thing about race across the world is the competitors aren’t influencers or after exposure,’ another noted.
Many more were enthusiastic about the new series, which will premiere in the autumn, with one fan stating they were ‘hugely excited’ and another calling it ‘marvellous.’
‘Celebrity Race Across The World, I will be there. It’s not as if it’s replacing the regular series,’ another argued.

And as one particularly excited viewer put it: ‘OMFG CELEBRITY RACE ACROSS THE WORLD TRAILER !!’
There are plenty of celebrity editions of popular TV shows – from Celebrity Gogglebox to Celebrity Bake-Off and, most recently, Celebrity Hunted.
Fans adored the Hunted series, with comic combo Ed Gamble and James Acaster among the most popular fugitives.
Off-menu celebrities Ed and James were seen enjoying the competition in their stride as they stopped down for lavish dinners, had time at a comedy club – and went undercover in comically OTT costumes.
Celebrity Race Across The World airs this autumn on BBC One and BBC iPlayer; Metro.co.uk has reached out to BBC for comment.
