Crack Addicts star Dr. Alessandra Colón was stunned when a woman confessed to wearing a corset for 16 hours per day for a specific reason.
For fans of Dr. Pimple Popper and Botched, the new TLC reality show follows a chiropractor ‘healing patients with the power of chiropractic adjustment and a large sense of humour.’
A preview for an upcoming episode goes one step further than the trailer, which suggests that patients will have their bones fractured and joints dislocated while their bodies are contorted into what appear to be extreme positions.
Sarah, aged 47, walks into Dr. Colón’s office and discloses that she wears a small corset.
The visual artist explains: ‘I have experienced migraines for most of my adult life, and have been relying on rescue medications since 2012.’
She continues by stating that she does not want to’rely’ on the pain-relieving medications prescribed to her once she has developed migraines.

Dr Colón later tells the camera: ‘Oftentimes, chiropractic will be used for intervention with migraines for a lot of reasons, for making sure that the blood flow is being restored, circulation is being restored.’
However, the medical professional is surprised to learn about Sarah’s suffering.
‘I’ve always had tightness in my jaw and neck, the migraine tends to come on with neck pain at the same time.
‘I would describe it as an ice pick headache, it’s a very sharp, very concentrated pain in one spot.’
She then drops in: ‘I wear a corset.’

Sarah reveals that she wears a ‘modern, steel-boned, waist-training’ corset for a startling 16 hours per day.
Dr Colón tells the camera: ‘From a doctor’s perspective, there’s no way that you can’t think like, atrophy, weakness, how is that hindering the body?’
She questions Sarah: ‘Is there a rationale for this?’
Sarah acknowledges that she is pursuing a Guinness World Record, so she does have a rationale.
‘The living Guinness World Record for the smallest corseted waste is 15-inches, and I am down to regularly wearing a comfortable 16 inches.’

As Sarah shows Dr. Colón her corset, the doctor confesses she had no notion what to make of it.
‘I’ve never done anything like this.
‘Where the heck are her organs?!’
Crack Addicts will air on TLC in America from May 24.
