Emma McVey, the wife of former Geordie Shore cast member Gary Beadle, provided an update on her health following her recent heart surgery.
The 30-year-old mother of two underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair three holes in her organ and shared some touching remarks on social media.
The pair married in 2021, and they have two children: Chester, five, and Primrose, three.
Emma expressed her thanks to the hospital personnel who supported her during the operation on Instagram, admitting that she felt she was granted a “new life” to spend with her children.
Underneath a picture of the beauty lying in a hospital bed, Garry’s wife penned: ‘#HeartMonth I came into this month with a healthy heart, I’ll never be able to thank my surgeon, doctors, nurses and everyone else involved.
‘I had 2 small holes, 1 large hole and my tricuspid valve repaired. They’ve given me a new life to enjoy with my babies and really don’t get the credit they deserve.
‘I’ve come so far since this photo 2 weeks ago, right after this was taken I was crying and throwing up all over myself unable to move, my brother and mum just swapping buckets under my chin.’
She continued: ‘Day 2 I cried from the pain trying to take a deep breath in and cough, day 3 asking how I’ll ever be able to get myself out of bed.
‘Here I am now, I left the house yesterday and watched the kids play outside on their bikes and I’ve never been happier.
‘Don’t get me wrong, I’m yo-yoing like you wouldn’t believe, my emotions are so up and down, it’s gonna be a slow recovery but I am so excited to see where I am in just a few months time.’
The reality star, who built a reputation for himself via his infamous womanising, informed his followers about Emma’s health condition last month when she was admitted to the hospital.
Gaz informed his followers that he was ready to ‘hold down the fort’ at home while his wife recovered from her surgery.
He went on to say that Emma would need three months to recover from the treatment and that it had been a’very hard very stressful very emotional day [sic]’ before her check-in at the hospital.
