On Thursday’s Loose Women, comedian Judi Love had her fellow panellists – and the audience – in tears of laughter.
The panellists were discussing the practise of new mothers being glammed up for labour in order to have beautiful hair and makeup for web material during and after the birth.
Judi, Jane Moore, and Denise Welch were joined on the show by host Charlene White, who candidly shared their own labour tales – some longer and more painful than others.
Judi was then asked if she would ever video and broadcast her birth, to which she said that she would not, but she had previously filmed it.
The mother of two has two teenage children, the youngest of whom she received shortly after her mother died in 2009.
She described how her mother-in-law took additional care of her while she was pregnant, labouring, and caring for a newborn while simultaneously grieving her mother.

‘We had the baby, and my mother-in-law at the time was trying to make sure it was nice, so we decided we were all going to sit down and watch the birth together.’
Judi’s story was already raising eyebrows, as Charlene made a funny expression and Denise chuckled, while Judi said, ‘Did no one else do this?!’
She went on: ‘We wanted to reminisce!’ It was his nanny, ‘ joking they had also invited the next-door neighbours and neighbourhood children to watch.
‘The problem is,’ she said, ‘we put the tape in, and when it came up there was no editing. It was straight chum chum.’
Her fellow panellists burst out laughing, with Denise shrieking in delight at Judi’s portrayal – but she wasn’t done yet.

‘It was just zooming in, and it was crowning and it was zooming in and zooming in – it was so bad, and it was so uncomfortable because we was sitting there going “Okay.”
‘But we had already committed! We had committed to this! Could you imagine, I’m sitting there and the world is seeing my chum chum.’
It was all over at this point, even for Charlene, who was seen doubling over with laughing and wiping her eyes with a tissue as she was practically driven to tears of laughter.

Jade, who questioned cheekily if she had her hair done for the event – not the locks on her head – added to the pandemonium.
Judi said why she opted to record the delivery: ‘At that point, you have a notion of how you want your birth to be. I was insistent about having it videotaped.
‘However, the individual shooting it was off the track. It was a disaster.’
The comedian, along with 19 other big celebs, was confirmed this week to compete on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades, Dragons Den’s Deborah Meaden, and even AJ Odudu will join Ross Geller actor David Schwimmer, Towie superstar Gemma Collins, and former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV
