Not everyone won an Oscar but fortunately, no one goes home empty-handed, as all of the top Academy Award nominees will get a gift bag worth more than $180,000, which includes a private villa stay in St Barts, a microneedling machine, a portable blender, and more sweets than they can eat.
The aptly called ‘Everyone Wins’ bag also includes a luxurious vacation to Switzerland for ten guests, followed by a holistic health retreat where owners may truly decompress.
It’s okay for some.
Beauty enthusiasts have purchased Miage items, Adonis Arcana treats, silk Blush pillows and make-up, as well as Serucell’s post-procedure restorative Recovery Serum, to ensure they look their best on the next red carpet.
They may also enjoy gourmet popcorn, cherry candies, fancy sweets, chocolate, and pretzels, all washed down with Antigua Cruz Tequila and Scottish gin from Gin Bothy.
If that weren’t enough, candidates will also receive a collector’s edition Rubik’s Cube to proudly display in their houses.
Distinctive Assets curated the Everybody Wins gift packages, which are supposedly unrelated to the Oscars.
‘While our gifts may be famous for being fun, fabulous and unique, they also serve to elevate small businesses, minority-owned brands, female entrepreneurs and companies who give back,’ founder Lash Fary said, via DailyMail.com
‘This is celebrity marketing with a mission.’
Lash has been creating gift bags for award presentations for over 20 years.
‘This is something that we do independently from the ceremony. The Academy’s in the business of promoting films, not products,’ he said.
‘We only give bags to the top nominees: best actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress and director.
‘While the best cinematographer and best short film are great and important to the industry, we only gift the top five categories.’
Spilling the beans on how each experience or product is chosen – and how they are delivered – he continued: ‘We try to discover things that celebrities might not find on their own, which is why people like Meryl Streep, Hugh Jackman, Helen Mirren and Viola Davis have all taken the trips that we’ve given.
‘A lot of people will just want their bags delivered to the hotel they’re staying at in the week leading up to the Oscars.
‘Or, if they live here in LA, we’ll take it to their house. We’ve delivered the bag to Viola Davis’ home for years.
‘Steven’s [Spielberg] will go to his production company. But it all depends on their setup and whatever’s most convenient for them.’
We wonder who we’ll be seeing with a coveted Rubik’s Cube next to their Oscar this year…
