Madonna has confirmed that her future tour, The Celebration Tour, will take place in the United Kingdom.
The revelation that the Queen of Pop will be travelling in 2023 with special concerts to mark four decades in the profession has thrown fans into a frenzy.
Since bursting into the music world with her debut album in 1983, she has gone on to release megahits such as Like A Virgin, Like A Prayer, and Hung Up.
Celebrating her great career, the 64-year-old encouraged her supporters to ‘join the part’ in a social media post announcing the Madonna Celebration Tour on Tuesday.
Madonna appears in an unique video announcing the tour, accompanied by celebrities such as Jack Black and Amy Schumer for a game of truth or dare.
Madonna is dared to perform a ‘global tour and play your best… hits’ over the previous 40 years after some extremely NSFW honesty and daring from Madonna and the stars.
Which, of course, Madonna accepts.
The Celebration Tour is the pop legend’s first tour since she celebrated four decades in the entertainment profession.
It begins on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada and will travel to cities throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Madonna will perform in London’s O2 Arena on Saturday, October 14 for UK admirers of the music superstar.
With tickets set to sell out quickly, British fans may also get the opportunity to see her in Europe, since she will be visiting Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Paris, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands between October and December this year.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. GMT on Friday, January 20.
As she cleaned her Instagram page of all postings, fans speculated Madonna was about to make a big 40th anniversary surprise.
It follows claims that the Like A Prayer hitmaker is ‘getting back to basics’ on tour, spotlighting her best-selling songs to showcase her back repertoire to a new generation of admirers.
‘Madonna is trying something completely fresh – and genuinely offering fans, young and old, what they want,’ according to a source at The Sun.
‘She wants to capitalise on TikTok videos of songs like Frozen and Material Girl and promote her back catalogue to an altogether new generation.
