During a recent performance in Atlanta, Georgia, Niall Horan surprised friend Lewis Capaldi on stage.
The 26-year-old musician returned to the United States to commence a series of shows in advance of the publication of his Netflix documentary. He started off his North America and Canada tour in Nashville on Thursday to a sold-out stadium.
Lewis was joined on stage by a special guest during his Atlanta performance, much to the delight of another sold-out venue, and halted his act to pose for a photo with the former One Direction band member, 29.
To the delight of the audience, the Forget Me performer, dressed in all-white, greeted Niall on stage.
Taking to Instagram, Lewis uploaded a reel that captured the adorable moment and added a caption that read: ‘It’s time to BeReal’.

In the video, Niall can be seen sprinting to meet his buddy and then posing for the celebrity to take a photo of him for his BeReal before swiftly leaving. The singer also posted a video from the platform with some messages of appreciation written across it.The label said: ‘Coming back over to America and having the whole tour sold out is v v surreal. Thank you all [sic]’.
Fans of the duo rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the surprise encounter.
One typed: ‘Still waiting for the collab [sic]’, while another added: ‘best duo to walk this earth [sic]’.
‘Lewis Capaldi: The 6th member of 1D [sic],’ a social media user exclaimed.
The encounter took place shortly after Lewis revealed the release of his documentary about how he dealt with fame and his mental health. He shared the news with his followers on social media, along with a poster for the film and an extensive text describing what they can anticipate from it.‘The film is called How I’m Feeling Now and it’s named after a song I wrote, which will be released at midnight on the 17th of March,’ he began.
Continuing on, the famous singer said: ‘It’s the last song I wrote for my upcoming album and is a tune that’s all about something I’ve never really written about in my music before which is my mental health [sic]’.
