Taylor Swift surprised the crowd at The 1975’s London concert on Thursday night by performing her chart-topping single Anti-Hero.
The diva made an impromptu appearance at the O2, where she unveiled a track from her award-winning Midnights album alongside a cover of the headline band’s The City.
The 33-year-old wore a shimmering sequined gown and walked around the platform, taking in the audience before preparing for the impromptu performance.
With a mischievous grin, Taylor grabbed up a microphone, looped her guitar around her neck, and began to strum the famous opening notes.
Fans had their phones ready and were quick to share the unusual news on social media and with pals who couldn’t attend the show.
Thousands more recordings circulated online, with fans from both parties eager to express their shock at what they were witnessing.

One wrote: ‘Omg omg the 1975 brought out Taylor swift [sic]’, while another penned: ‘There’s no way I’m ever getting over this wtf @taylorswift13 [sic]’.
A Taylor fan at the concert uploaded footage that captured the moment alongside the words: ‘the way the crowd immediately started BELLOWING the song proves anti hero is a hit. OH ANTI HERO THE HIT YOU ARE!! [sic]’.
Amid claims Harry Styles was also in the audience, one concertgoer posted: ‘Taylor Swift came out on stage at The 1975 show and Harry Styles is also in the audience…….. I will not be taking any questions at this time. [sic]’

Frontman Matty Healy previously revealed an unexpected connection to the megastar, claiming the band had worked on unreleased Midnights compositions.
‘We’d love to… love to work with Taylor Swift,’ the star was heard saying in an interview with BBC Radio 1.
‘[I] love Taylor Swift… think she’s one of the best songwriters.’
On Sunday, the 1975, led by Matty, started off the British leg of their At Their Very Best tour in Brighton.
The trio captivated American stages in the autumn in promotion of its 2022 album Being Funny in a Foreign Language, while also making headlines for some outrageous escapades along the road.
During a performance in Kentucky, the frontman stunned fans when he called a tattoo artist onto the stage mid-song and proceeded to write the words ‘I’m a man’ onto his naked chest while smoking a cigarette.
