Alison Hammond has given a behind-the-scenes look at This Morning, in which she is having a good time and bopping along to Outta Puffy Daddys.
Alison took centre stage and danced along with the dad-dance tribe on the ITV daytime show, clearly enjoying the time of her life.
‘Happy hump day,’ she captioned the photo.
‘Have a great Wednesday and thanks to the @outta_puff_daddys for bringing the moves this week.’
Fans cheered on her dancing in the comments, with one writing: ‘Alison Hammond for the win!’
Loose Women star Frankie Bridge wrote ‘I love you’ while This Morning regular Carol Vorderman wrote: ‘Yessssssss girl.’
Other viewers weighed in on the ITV drama when Phillip Schofield resigned and confessed his affair, with one adding, ‘Alison Hammond out here single-handedly saving This Morning.’
Alison has been filling in on This Morning since Schofield left and Holly Willoughby left early, sitting on the couch alongside Dermot O’Leary and Craig Doyle.
As the instability around the programme continues, with Eamonn Holmes and former guest Dr Ranj Singh speaking out about the ‘toxicity’ on the set of This Morning, Alison and Dermot addressed the issue.
‘We all know we happen to be in the news at the moment and of course we appreciate that but just from both of us, the whole team here, the crew, the guys downstairs, we love making this show for all of you,’ he stated.
Co-host Alison then added: ‘We really do and that’s exactly what we are going to do, we are going to continue to do that.’
‘We are extremely delighted to be here, may I say that as well?’ said Gyles Brandreth, who is in the studio to assess the day’s news headlines.
‘This is a happy place to work, I enjoy coming in here and have done since I began coming in. We are happy people in a happy place.’
Alison and Dermot paid tribute to Schofield after more than 20 years on the show on the first This Morning since his departure.
She began: ‘Now, we can’t start today’s show without paying tribute to the man who spent the last two decades sitting on the This Morning sofa, Phillip Schofield.’
Dermot continued: ‘So, as a show, everyone on and off screen at ITV, and This Morning, want to say a huge thank you to Phil for what he’s done to make this show such a success over the last 21 years.’
Alison hailed him as ‘one of the best’, adding: ‘Quite simply, we all know he’s one of the best live television broadcasters this country has ever had. And we and all the team wish him all the best for the future.’
This Morning has been in disarray since Schofield, 61, quit from the programme following accusations that he and Willoughby were ‘barely communicating’ behind the scenes and that their relationship had cooled.
He later resigned from all of his ITV projects after disclosing on Friday that he had a ‘unwise but not criminal’ affair with a young male show runner on This Morning while still married to Stephanie Lowe.
They first met when the anonymous production assistant was 15 years old, when Schofield delivered a presentation at his school, and their relationship began after he turned 18 and began working on This Morning, while Schofield was in his mid-50s.
ITV later stated that an inquiry had been carried out, but that no proof had been discovered.
On Sunday, the show’s former resident doctor, Singh, resorted to Instagram to allege a ‘toxic atmosphere’ and to claim that he was’managed out’ of addressing his concerns prior to his departure from the show two years ago.
Since then, GB News presenter Holmes has made a number of startling accusations in interviews, including claiming Schofield and his younger partner had ‘playtime Thursdays’ and slamming Willoughby and Schofield as presenters.
Schofield has yet to comment on the interview, although his lawyers have already assured Metro.co.uk that he will not.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
