Breaking Bad may have ended with Walter White facing a heinous destiny, but Bryan Cranston has revealed that he will return to our screens shortly.
The extremely popular series, which centred on a high school chemistry teacher who turned to crime after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, saw its final episode in 2013.
Walter was accidently shot with a remote-activated machine pistol while producing and trafficking methamphetamine alongside former classmate Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the TV show’s producer revealing years later that he had in fact been dead.
After a decade, Walter appears to be alive and well, working on a different project following his recent Better Call Saul cameo – advertising popcorn crisps at the Super Bowl.
Sharing an image of the beloved character holding a packet of PopCorners, Bryan, 66, simply wrote: ‘Breaking soon. 02.12.23 #PopCorners_Partner’.
In the photo Walter (or Heisenberg) is standing in the desert wearing his iconic hat, glasses, button-up shirt and jacket while staring out into the desert.

The corporation recruited the fictional drug kingpin to help market their white cheddar popcorn chip hybrids, which were first introduced last month.
Fans have reacted positively to the news, and while some speculated that the snapshot might hint at a new season, for others, simply seeing him again was enough.
One person commented: ‘THE GOAT IS BACK 🐐,’ using the acronym to dub Walter the ‘greatest of all time’, while another shocked Instagram user simply put: ‘Holy cow.’

However others did have some queries about the ingredients in the product.
Many comments flooded Bryan’s Instagram post, with questions asking ‘what’s the secret ingredient?’ to others declaring that these were ‘my new favourite chip’, before even having a taste.

Walter will appear in the Super Bowl commercial, which will air on Sunday, February 12, although previews of the ads are usually published roughly a week before the game.
While some may be surprised that Walter is promoting a drink like this, Bryan and his former co-star Aaron just produced a mezcal called Dos Hombres.
Although Breaking Bad ended in 2013, Bryan has appeared in cameos for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and the final season of Better Call Saul last year.
Although there is no sign of a reboot for that show, Frankie Muniz hinted last year that there might be one for Malcolm in the Middle, which he indicated could be written by his former co-star and on-screen father Bryan.
He said: ‘I know Bryan Cranston is really into the idea and he’s kind of heading writing the script and getting everything rolling. So, there might be something. I would be down 100%.’
Breaking Bad is streaming on Netflix.
