Ashley Glazebrook, who finished as a runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2010, has revealed that he has become a father for the first time.
Ashley, 31, who was one half of the dance team Twist and Pulse and won Britain’s Got Talent All-Stars in 2019, announced last month that his daughter was born via surrogacy.
Ashley and his fiancé Liam Durbidge claimed that following her preterm birth, they spent six days solidly bonding as a family.
‘Happy due date, Tillie,’ Ashley remarked in a post earlier this month. This was your formal due date but we were lucky enough to meet you a whole month early.’
Tillie was born through surrogacy, and Ashley claims that her close friend Abbie “changed their lives forever” when she chose to help them fulfil their dream of creating a baby.
‘We would never be able to put into words how grateful we are to this great woman,’ Ashley remarked at the time. We shall be forever thankful to Abbie.’
The couple chose gestational surrogacy, which involves using an anonymous donor’s egg to guarantee that the baby and surrogate have no biological tie.
Abbie said: ‘Something so simple as having a family really is taken for granted, when I gave birth to my third child it finally sunk in how important family was.’
She continued: ‘This then made me feel so desperate for the couples that were childless. Why couldn’t they have a family like me? I knew I could make a difference.’

Twist and Pulse stunned the public when they auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent and breezed through the live finals over a decade ago.
They were finally defeated in the grand final by the gymnastic ensemble Spellbound, but they went on to perform at the London Olympics in 2012.
The couple returned to Britain’s Got Talent in 2019 for the spin-off series The Champions, which they won after defeating international competition.
