Charlotte Crosby has been warned that broadcasting intimate details of her daughter’s birth on national television may have unforeseen repercussions.
The former Geordie Shore star was followed by cameras as she prepared to give birth on the most recent and last episode of her reality series Charlotte in Sunderland.
Charlotte, 32, had her daughter Alba with partner Jake Ankers in October of last year, and cameras were present to document the occasion.
As the series depicted the miraculous moments of Alba’s birth and her parents’ emotional emotions, observant viewers spotted one thing that troubled them.
Charlotte had also uploaded a number of images from the hospital before to the broadcast, including one of her wristband, which was also visible on screen in the episode.
Soon after, numerous comments issued the same caution.
‘Be careful displaying your personal details – I’m a doctor and your record could be accessed with these details so just be aware,’ one person wrote on Instagram.
Another said: ‘Would delete the name band picture off… not good to have those whole details on the internet.’
‘Please be careful with putting your hospital number out to the world its confidential,’ some-one else wrote.
Sharing candid photographs from the day of her baby being born, Charlotte remarked on her Instagram post that the day she saw her daughter was the ‘most amazing day of my whole life’.
‘I think all parents will agree what’s a feeling! What an experience,’ she wrote.
‘I would redo that whole birthing experience every single day over and over and over again.’
After the final episode aired, several people reported’sobbing’ while seeing Charlotte give birth.
‘Emotional wreck watching this,’ one person posted on Twitter.
Another said they had ‘sat in bed’ crying their eyes out.
The reality show documented Charlotte’s life through a turbulent period that included her mother Letitia’s cancer diagnosis and the death of her grandmother, who died only weeks after Alba was born.
Charlotte had given her daughter the middle name Jean as a homage to her grandmother.
Charlotte in Sunderland is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
