The actor of “How I Met Your Mother,” Jason Segel, has shown interest in making a surprise appearance in the upcoming spin-off series, and it is imperative that we make this happen.
Many people have questioned whether further members of the original cast will be returning to How I Met Your Father ever since Neil Patrick Harris made an appearance in the season two premiere of the show, which starred Hilary Duff and Neil Patrick Harris.
At the New York premiere of his new series for Apple TV+, Shrinking, Jason was questioned about whether or not he would follow in the footsteps of his predecessors.
He told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I didn’t know about that, but those people changed my life and I would do anything they ever asked me to,’
Alongside Neil, Alyson Hannigan, Josh Radnor, and Cobie Smulders – who had previously repeated her role as Robin Scherbatsky in the first season – the actor featured as Marshall Eriksen in the popular comedy. The programme was created by Neil.
Fans went absolutely crazy when Neil, who plays Barney Stinson, made an appearance in the most recent premiere of the show on . Sophie (Hilary) drove into his car, which caused Neil to appear.
The fact that this is just the beginning of Barney’s return to the show, and that he will have a’major influence’ on the programme, will make the viewers very happy.
‘Whenever we talk about bringing back a member of the original crew, you want it to serve two purposes: You want to give some tidbits about what is going on in their lives, where they’ve landed and where they’re at,’ co-creator Isaac Aptaker Aptaker told TVLine.
‘But it’s also about how they impact the How I Met Your Father story, and how they send one of our characters in a new, unexpected direction.

‘Similar to Robin last year, we’ll learn some more about where Barney’s at, but it’ll also have a major impact on the trajectory, and main narrative, of our season.’
Elizabeth Berger, who also serves as creator, previously said that they ‘remain committed’ to incorporating cameos and Easter Eggs where it feels organic.
‘We hope that the show continues to attract really exciting actors,’ she told us.
‘We feel like we’ve been really lucky so far in terms of who we’ve got and we just love to populate the world with talented people that we’re fans of, so we’re always looking for those opportunities.
‘We’re always looking for those opportunities to satisfy fans of the original. So that’s something that we remain committed to finding.’
How I Met Your Father airs on on Tuesdays.
