Lea Michele, actress of Glee, claims she sought to make apologies with many of her former co-stars after numerous of them expressed their negative experiences working with her.
The adolescent drama featured students in the New Directions glee club at the fictional William McKinley High School from 2009 to 2015.
Rachel Berry, played by Lea, was at the centre of the club, while other cast members included the late Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, and Mark Salling, as well as Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer.
The play was still running when whispers of conflict on set started appearing, but things took off in 2020 when actress Samantha Ware publicly accused Lea, 36, of making her life ‘a living nightmare’.
Since then, there have been additional Glee actresses who have come forward to speak about Lea’s actions towards them, with Heather Morris calling her ‘unpleasant to work with’, and Rivera writing in her 2016 memoir that Lea demonstrated ‘diva antics’.
Lea has now stated that she has utilised the last two years to ‘take a step back’ and’sit back and ponder’.
‘I did a lot of personal reach-out,’ she explained.

She went on to say that she had ‘very healing and eye-opening’ chats with certain folks.
‘I’ve been doing this for a really long time and I’m not going to ever blame anything on the things that I’ve been through in my life,’ she told Interview magazine.
‘But you also can’t ignore those experiences or deny them. They are a part of the patchwork of my life.’

Speaking about the process, Lea remarked that ‘what counts most is how you make people feel’ and that she ‘wanted to expose people to who I am today’.
She also stated that she was ‘grateful’ for the opportunity to ‘implement’ what she had ‘learned’ during the previous ten years in a ‘good way’.
The actress, who is presently playing Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway, stated in the interview how she was attempting to make apologies.
Previously addressing the claims levelled against her, Lea stated that she wanted to ‘do better in the future’ when Samantha spoke out.
In her apology to individuals she had offended, Lea stated that it was critical to ‘take the time to listen and learn about other people’s views and whatever part we have played or anything we can do to assist solve the injustices that they suffer’.
