Piers Morgan met with his ex-GMB wife Susanna Reid for a healthy breakfast date.
The TalkTV personality, 57, co-hosted the famous morning show with Susanna, 52, until his resignation in 2021, after which Susanna has continued to host the show alongside a variety of male presenters, including Martin Lewis and Richard Madeley.
Piers shared a cheerful photo of himself and his ex-co-host enjoying coffee at a café.
‘Good morning (again) Britain! Been a while since we last had breakfast together… lovely to see you @susannareid100,’ he tweeted.
Fans were living for the reunion, with one person writing: ‘Without doubt the best breakfast tv duo.’
Another added: ‘Best partnership any breakfast program ever had.’
Piers was among those who congratulated Susanna on her two decades of hosting breakfast television.
‘A huge thank you to Piers Morgan of this parish, five years alongside him,’ she said during an episode of Good Morning Britain.
‘He made me bolder, more argumentative, more difficult I think, more probing, asking the tricky questions and going into battle every morning.’
She continued: ‘Slightly different since then but definitely a big thank you to everyone I’ve presented with over 20 years. Getting up at 3.45 and I’m still here.’
Piers – who sensationally quit the morning show in March 2021 – tweeted: ‘Congrats to my ex-TV wife @susannareid100 on her 20th anniversary of presenting breakfast TV.’
Posting a picture of himself and Susanna together, he added: ‘Amazing achievement! ps I miss those eye-rolls….’
This comes after the TalkTV host was reportedly ‘let down’ by Susanna following his departure from GMB, when he failed to apologise for provocative statements he made about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Someone tweeted Piers, 57, earlier this month, asking, ‘Piers, were you unhappy when none of your colleagues didn’t present the day after you left GMB?’ ‘Would have been good to see the same solidarity,’ he answered.
According to an insider, the broadcaster thought that ‘not just the TV bosses, but his co-hosts, particularly Susanna, could have been more supportive,’ as they added to OK!: ‘He felt let down.’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
