Carly Reeves, Tom Hanks’ niece, did not take her elimination from the reality TV show Claim To Fame well.
Carly appeared in the second season of the ABC show, in which a group of players, all connected to a celebrity, live into a house together and try to figure out their housemate’s celebrity connection.
Carly’s stint on the show, hosted by Kevin and Frankie Jonas, yes, of the famed singing brothers duo, was cut short after the competitors discovered she was related to Forrest Gump star, 66, in week one.
Carly threw a temper tantrum after being fired, throwing insults at her coworkers, screaming that she’should’ve been here longer,’ and breaking down in tears.

Continuing her meltdown, she wailed: ‘I didn’t even get to do any challenges. I don’t deserve this. I should have more camera time. I should be here longer. No one expected that, no one.’
Carly has since reflected on her dramatic exit, telling USA Today that she was ‘in a complete fog.’
‘I don’t even remember … Tom’s picture showing up. My eyes were so full of water. I was crying so much, I couldn’t even breathe. I just was hyperventilating a little bit because I was shocked,’ she continued.

However, she insisted she had ‘no regret’ about her behaviour, adding: ‘Honestly, I’m an emotional person, so I’m obviously going to react in a big way because that’s just how I am.’
She continued: ‘Could I have handled myself better and been a little bit more graceful with it? Yes. But as far as being upset and sad, that was all real. So, I can’t regret it.’
Like Tom, Carly works as an actor and made her on-screen debut in Hilary Duff’s 2004 movie Raise Your Voice.
She also co-starred in the 2011 romantic comedy Larry Crowne with her renowned uncle, and her other credits include American Woman and Act of God.
