Tommy Fury, a former Love Island contestant, will join the Loose Men panel as it returns to our screens next week.
Following his appearance on the reality dating series, which he won with partner Molly-Mae Hague in 2019, the professional boxer will now swap the ring for the desk, where he will share his thoughts on a variety of themes.
The all-male panel programme will premiere on Thursday, May 18, to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week.
Vernon Kay of Radio 2 will host once more, while The Chase’s Paul Sinha will also make his debut.
Martin Kemp will round up the panel.
The news of the show’s comeback was announced on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women, after its recent Royal Television Society Award for Daytime Programming triumph.
The Loose Men commit to tackle the subjects impacting men right now in the advertisement for the special, which has previously been commended for driving the debate and breaking taboos regarding men’s mental and physical health.
In terms of what to expect, Tommy stated that they would be “letting their guards down,” while Martin stated that they would “break through the barricades.”
Meanwhile, Paul stated that they were determined to “open up like never before.”
Vernon explained that they would be “feeling the fear,” but that they would face it full on because “when it comes to us lads, loose talk can save lives.”
The first Loose Men panel aired in 2020, marking the first time in the show’s 21-year existence that it has been renamed in this manner.
Last year’s episode, which featured Strictly Come Dancing‘s Ore Oduba, Good Morning Britain’s Andi Peters, Diversity’s Jordan Banjo, and The Chase’s Shaun Wallace, aired during Black History Month and received praise for the panellists’ openness about topics such as the last time they cried and body dysmorphia.
The show was voted the best midday programming at the Royal Television Society Awards last month.
Loose Men airs on Thursday May 18 at 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
