Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent confesses concerns about ‘uncertain birthing plans’ in pandemic

Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has shared her worries about being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic.

The actress wrote on Instagram that she noticed ‘drastic changes’ between now and when she had son Mexx with boyfriend Kean Bryan in 2019.

The mum-to-be revealed there was ‘uncertainty’ around birth plans as the couple wait for their new arrival.

Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster on the soap, said: ‘I’ve found this pregnancy completely different to my last. The change from being pregnant in 2019 to 2021 has been nothing short of drastic.

‘The fact nothing is the same at the moment is just horrible… talks of partners not being able to come to scans, the uncertainty around birth plans… everything is just up in the air and it’s really hard to make sense of it all.’

She went on: ‘One thing I have found really helpful is the @peanut app, a place where mums can connect, chat and get advice from other women at a similar stage in life.

‘It was amazing when I first started to wean Mexx but also now when I’m unsure of things.’

She added a picture of herself wearing a comfy black onesie with her hands resting on her baby bump.

Brooke is taking time away from the cobbles to have her second child, and is loving being able to be at home with her son.

‘I’m really enjoying being a mum. From since I can remember, the only thing I wanted to be in life was a mum and I am now’, she said on Loose Women.

‘It’s a struggle and it’s daunting and you wonder if you’re doing the right thing, but this is my job at the minute.

‘I don’t have to go for checks or do hair and make up to do this job, but we like it and get through the day. I’m taking time for me and my family.’
