The comedian revealed how he managed to get the all-star cast – which also included the likes of Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Matthew McConaughey and Morgan Freeman among others, to take part in Dane Cook Presents Feelin’ A-Live: Fast Times at Ridgemont High to raise money for aid amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking on the podcase On The List With Brett Gursky, Dane revealed: ‘It was truly spectacular.
‘It just felt like a nice, like the eye of a hurricane when the sun comes out for a little bit. It felt like a real nice, joyous occasion. A lot of laughs.’
Dane says the stars were the ones who got each other involved and Brad, 56, and Jen, 51, were totally cool with the arrangement.
He explained: ‘Jennifer had gotten wind of it through Sean Penn. Then CAA was helping out and they reached out to Brad and he just seemed like… there was no drama in terms of like, you know… they’re pros.
‘They’re pals. They just came to play. It was like a nothing burger in terms of, “How did we do that?” They both just loved the content.’
The table read had fans of the former couple obsessed in September, when the pair’s interaction went live.
In the video, Brad says: ‘Hi Aniston’, as the Friends star replies: ‘Hi Pitt.’
Brad then asks: ‘How you doing?’, and after his ex-wife says: ‘Good honey, how are you doing?’, he replies: ‘I’m alright.’
The Hollywood power couple had split in 2005 after five years of marriage, but appear to have maintained a pretty great friendship 15 years down the line.
The rest of the all-star cast also giggled when Jennifer – in character as the movie’s bombshell Linda – had to read a sexy line to Brad (whose character was also called Brad).
She says in the clip: ‘Hi Brad. You know how cute I always thought you were. I think you’re so sexy. Would you come to me?’
